This app was developed independently by Tom Fadial and is not licensed or approved by UTHealth Houston.

Loren Mead, MD

Loren is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he rowed for four years. He is passionate about entrepreneurship and building health tech solutions that leverage behavioral psychology to augment clinician workflows and medical decision making. Dr. Mead is an Emergency Medicine physician at UT Health Houston in the Texas Medical Center where he served as Vice-Chief of Informatics and Chief Resident.

Jonathan Giordano, DO

Jon is a native New Yorker who made the trek down to Houston with his wife and dog in search of warm weather. He’s board certified in Emergency Medicine and has been on faculty at UTHealth since 2018 where he currently runs the medical student clerkships for the department of emergency medicine. His interests lie in emergency cardiology, medical education, and innovation. When he is not nerding out with his colleague, Ben Cooper over electrocardiography at ECGStampede.com, he enjoys rooting for the Yankees, hanging out with his dog Georgia, and watching bad reality television on Bravo.

Special thanks to Dr. David Hopkins, MD. Dr. Hopkins is a plastic surgery resident at University of Texas-Houston Medical School. He is a first-generation college student who was raised in Azle, Texas. He attended Baylor University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology with Summa Cum Laude distinction and was elected in Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. Dr. Hopkins then moved to Houston where he obtained his medical degree from UT Houston Medical school, during which he was elected into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Society. He then remained with UT Houston for his residency in General Surgery. Dr. Hopkins was selected by faculty to receive the “Golden Chopsticks” award for excellence in laparoscopic and robotic techniques.

In his free time, Dr. Hopkins enjoys the spending time with his wife and siblings, 5 of whom practice medicine in Houston. He enjoys fishing, cooking, and raising his dog and two cats. Dr. Hopkins loves Houston which provides a limitless restaurant selection, a thriving theatre district, and a diverse selection for sports fans.
